School Fundraising Ideas
This year it is even more important for school pupils to take part in fun, extracurricular activities and our fundraising ideas can all be done within smaller bubbles as well as the whole school.
1) Dress down day- such an easy thing to organise with minimal impact on the school day. You can give it a theme such as wacky tie and hair day, PJ day, Go Orange, favourite character or just keep it simple! You can collect cash or set up a PayPal link and ask people to donate via that to reduce handling cash.
2) Clear the Clutter day- this is a great activity as it helps people clear out their homes while also generating money! You can collect clothes, printer cartridges, crisp packets, mobile phones or CDs and DVDs to send off to be recycled and the company makes a donation to us on your behalf.
3) Raffle - organise a raffle at school and ask parents if they can donate items or services (i.e. a bunch of flowers, meal in a restaurant, vouchers for a takeaway, beauty vouchers or a hamper of goodies) then sell tickets. Most schools can do this online through their parent pay system.
4) Talent show- pre record the acts and then launch it live at a certain time, invite families to watch it together and donate a certain amount.
5) Fill the plastic bottle- give each class a 2lt empty bottle of drink and ask them to fill it with 5ps or 20s over the course of the term. Have an inter-form competition to see who can fill their bottle the quickest and raise the most.
6) Smartie Challenge- give every child a tube of smarties to take home (they get to eat the smarties!) and ask them to bring it back once it is full of 20ps.
7) Virtual Games - Virtual quiz, virtual bingo and virtual beetle drive. All very easy to organise, great fun and help create community spirit!
8) Sponsored event- whatever the age of children, they can choose something to do for sponsorship such as a bunny bounce (hop around the playground or bounce on trampolines at home), skipping challenge (how many skips with rope in 1 minute), 2 laps of playground or sports field or set harder challenges for older children! They can share either a personal sponsorship form or a class sponsorship form to make it even easier to collect the donations.
