London Luton Airport - 1930's to 2023
In 2022 students from Queen Elizabeth School worked on a history project looking into the history of London Luton Airport from the 1930's to now. They carried out visits, spoke to staff and did group work at school. The students were able to put together a documentary capturing the importance of London Luton Airport and its history.
Through both projects students gain a wealth of knowledge as well as gaining a number of skills both accredited and non accredited. Students took part in Oral history training which meant they had the skill set to capture the right information for their documentaries they also took part in young people safeguarding as well as a number of soft skill workshops including team building, leadership, events planning and much more.
At the end of the project the students had a celebration evening to showcase their work to those in the local community. With over 100 attendees the project was a success the students were able to put their knowledge into action and carry out their presentation.
